FAQ + TERMS and CONDITIONS
What is your cancellation policy?
Upon booking your session, you will need to pay a $100 deposit to secure your session time.
We ask that you give a minimum of 2 WEEKS NOTICE if you will be unable to attend your shoot. In this case your deposit will be refunded in full. We are always happy to reschedule to another date as we know organising little ones can be hard and things come up (sickness, falls, head bumps etc). OR if you can't make your shoot, you may want to gift it to a friend or mama-to-be who needs some loving.
If you cancel less than 2 weeks before the scheduled date, or you forget to show up on the day of the shoot - we cannot offer a refund.
*If extreme weather gets in the way of us creating, don't worry - we will either make it work or we will find another time!
Where are you based and do you travel?
I am based in a small town just outside of Byron Bay, Northern NSW - on Bundjalung country. I am primarily taking on local clients however am happy to travel for a special shoot. Please reach out via email if you wish to enquire about a shoot that is beyond the Northern Rivers.
When will we get our photos?
You will receive an online gallery link to view your digital photos within a maximum of 4-6 weeks.
I feel shy / awkward in front of the camera

I myself am a highly sensitive introvert and in fact, I don't really share photos of myself or even really have any (thanks to my partner who is useless with his iPhone or any camera at that matter).

This is probably one of the most common responses I hear from people in relation to having photos taken of themselves.
Being in front of the camera can be scary. It can be intimidating. You might not be feeling your most radiant self that week or the day of the shoot and that is okay. It's more than okay, it's normal. We are bombarded with fast-paced, money-hungry imagery that depicts an unrealistic and unattainable portrayal of beauty every day (hello Instagram). I think that's boring.
If you have found my website it's because you are drawn to the warmth, the rawness, the real beauty in my photos. If you're booking a photo shoot, I ask you this: Who are you booking it for? Surely, it's for you. Let this be a vulnerable, raw, beautiful experience that leaves you feeling seen just as you are and reminds you just how beautiful you are. If you choose to share that beauty with others that's fine of course, but this shoot is for you and the future versions of you and your family.
It is my job to help direct you, make you feel at ease and capture your essence. If you wish to bring a friend along as moral support you are always welcome.
What to bring to your shoot
I like to keep the styling and props minimal.
I believe that the more comfortable you feel, the better the photos will turn out, so wear whatever makes you feel good.
I would, however, suggest that you don't wear too many patterns and perhaps think about adding different clothing textures. If you have requested black and white film then lighter colours or white looks the best, but please don't all wear white!
Please be sure to bring yourself some water and snacks for on the day. If your shoot is on location please bring a hat and any sun protection you may need.
